Summary

This bill revokes security clearances of the 51 individuals who signed the October 19, 2020 statement titled Public Statement on the Hunter Biden Emails. These individuals, many former intelligence officials, cannot have security clearances granted or renewed. The Departments of Defense and Justice must investigate these individuals. The statement in question suggested the Hunter Biden laptop story had the hallmarks of Russian disinformation, which was later disputed as the emails were authenticated.

Referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and in addition to the Committees on the Judiciary, and Armed Services, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
