Jamie Raskin represents Maryland's 8th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, a position he has held since January 2017. Before his election to Congress, he served in the Maryland State Senate from 2007 to 2016, where he represented District 20. He serves on the House Judiciary Committee and previously served as the lead impeachment manager for President Trump's second impeachment trial in 2021. Prior to his political career, Raskin was a constitutional law professor at American University Washington College of Law for more than 25 years.
