Adriano Espaillat represents New York's 13th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, serving since 2017. He serves on the House Appropriations Committee, including its Subcommittees on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies, as well as the Legislative Branch Subcommittee. Before his congressional service, Espaillat served in the New York State Assembly and New York State Senate. He was the first formerly undocumented immigrant to serve in Congress.
